The new curriculum reform emphasizes the students' subject status,at the same time,it pays attention to students' personal development.Learning style and learning strategy are important performances of students' individual differences in the process of learning,learning style is one of the most important factors that influences the learning strategies.Developing geography learning strategies based on the differences in learning styles,can effectively improve students' ability to learn geography,so as to achieve effective learning.This paper used the learning style classification theory of Reid and Mckeachie,learning strategies classification theory as the theoretical basis of this research,which defines the concept of geographical learning strategies and learning styles,and analyses their correlations and effects.This study mainly used the method of questionnaire investigation and experiment education.Simultaneously,we chose senior school students as the research object and high school regional geography teaching as the background.Subsequently,survey questionnaire was used to explore the tendency of learning style and geography learning strategy presented by senior school students in the process of regional geography learning,then analyses the results.Through the conclusion made by investigation,this paper put forward four pieces of advice for geography learning strategy training,and selected a class to do geography learning strategy training based on learning style differences.In this paper,the research conclusion was as follows: auditory,shape,visual and the sense of touch learning style were the main learning styles in the regional geography study.The minimal using is kinesthetic type and group learning style.Male and female students only differed in the sense of touch and group learning styles.The students with different levels of performance significantly differed in learning styles.Students' degree of mastering learning strategy was low.Boys and girls only showed significant differences in terms of resource management strategies.And geography learning strategy used by different grades students showed obvious difference,the students with higher grades performed at a higher geography learning strategy level.Among the students whose learning styles were visual,auditory and kinesthetic,geographical cognitive strategies are used most frequently.Geographical metacognitive strategy was more popular in kinesthetic and shape learning style,however,resource management strategy was chose more in group of learners.Through half a semester geography learning strategy training based on learning style differences,most of the students of geographic experimental class made obvious progress,especially students whose basic geography knowledge were weak made greater progress than those of the optimal group.
