Individual motivation is the driving force of individual actions. It reflects the individual's internal psychological tendencies of actions initiation, actions persistence to achieve one's psychological goals. Writing motivation can greatly help bringing students' writing interest and practices. Without motivation of writing, rarely can we see a student start to write by oneself, from the beginning to the end unless forced to. Strong writing motivation allows students to be interested, self organized and creative in writing activities. It is this paper's interest to discuss the reasons of the lack of motivations, unwillingness of writing among junior high students; to explorer practical methods to stimulate the writing motivations based on the observations of writing motivation, domestic and international study results research work on writing psychology as well as practical experience in teaching junior high students; to find the right strategies and tactics to motivate students to write and write well; to search the best strategy and technique that can be used in feedbacks, evaluations, encouragements and punishments of students' work; to discover the way of establishing a network to stimulate students' writing motivations so that the students can be changed from feeling "forced to write" to "want to write" and let students be self starters and self organized in all writing activities. |
