At present,"unwilling to write" is the primary problem in junior high school students' writing,and the problem behind "unwilling to write" is essentially the problem of writing motivation.In order to make students get rid of the writing dilemma,it is necessary to pay attention to the problem of students' writing motivation in order to let students change from passive "ask me to write" to "I want to write" based on the needs of communication and self realization.Through questionnaire,interview,classroom observation,and analysis of junior high school students' writing process and results,this study makes an in-depth investigation of junior high school students' writing dilemma,writing state,especially writing motivation.The problems of junior high school students' writing motivation are summarized as follows:(1)Insufficient internal writing motivation,that is,the lack of "Writing motivation conforming to nature" of junior high school students,low writing interest,insufficient writing confidence,and failure to establish correct writing values,etc;(2)the writing behavior is mainly driven by such utilitarian motivations as "Examination-oriented" and "Conforming to the society";(3)the teacher factor is the most direct and important factor to stimulate the external motivation of junior high school students' writing,fails to give full play to its due role of inspiration,traction,guidance,etc.Junior high school students' learning behavior has a strong dependence on teachers.Teachers' guidance should run through the whole process of students' writing(including before,during and after writing).Writing motivation is the driving force and traction of students' writing behavior.Teachers should not only stimulate students' internal writing motivation,but also make full use of external factors to strengthen junior high school students' external writing motivation.Based on the analysis of the survey results,this study proposes specific strategies for teachers to cultivate junior high school students' writing motivation:(1)to stimulate students' motivation in the stage of pre-writing(to respect students' different writing needs,encourage students to express themselves freely and arouse their writing enthusiasm based on their learning situation;to set writing goals rationally to enhance students' self-efficacy in writing;to create task situations to trigger students' cognitive drive in writing;to set up "Reader consciousness" to inspire students' writing behavior);(2)motivation enhancement in the stage of Writing Conception(making up for the lack of writing experience to eliminate the fear of difficulties,changing the writing form to increase the writing interest,organizing cooperative competition to keep moderate writing anxiety,Sharing teachers' writing experience to enhance students' writing experience);(3)maintain the motivation in the feedback stage(provide multiple,timely and effective evaluation and feedback;make reasonable rules of rewards and punishments,correct students' writing attitude;encourage students to review and reflect on the writing process,and guide students' correct attribution).Writing motivation not only plays a driving role before students start writing,but also runs through the whole writing process of students,so teachers should be based on the different writing psychology and state of junior high school students in different stages of the writing process,in order to solve the problem of "Unwilling to write" of junior middle school students,different ways and means are used to stimulate,strengthen and maintain the writing motivation of junior high school students.
