The problem of education's treasury of contemporary society is an important matter,which wase concerned by academicians and scholastics.Bcause education's speciality causes the terrific difference between raising education treasury and other raising treasury.At the same time there is terrific mess.During the late Qing Dynasty, Chinese education experienced the transition from tradition to modern one. In the 1960s, the origination of some westernized shcools stimulated modernization of education in late Qing Dynasty. In westernization period there were about 30 new-style educational institutions created, which were the first signs for springing up of new-style schools. Till late 19th century, rising of reform movement transformed education into talents'cultivation focused, which had been one reform content that people from reform school promoted with great effort. Like Shiwu School in Hubei Province, the appearance of some new-style schools, promoted the growth of education in China. However, like a fleeting show, reform movement just lasted one hundred days, during which all the reform measures promulgated were not carried out. Till 1901, the beginning of New Deal in late Qing Dynasty, enhanced and developed the educational reform which focused on abolish the imperial examinations and initiating schools. And then, a series of important reforms were carried out. In 1903, Qing Government promulgated"Kuimou Xuezhi"; in 1904, the institution and corresponding underling taking charge of education were set up; in 1905, the imperial examinations were abolished formally, at the same time, education department and modern central educational administrative institution were set up. Schools and leaning were popular in national wide. The rapid development of school focused new-style educational institution promoted transition of modern education in China.This paper mainly discusses the expense of new-style school in late Qing Dynasty, which is a hot issue for the researchers. The outlay financing not only is concern about educational finance but also has close relationship with some social problems. This paper mainly focuses on the common new-style school in late Qing Dynasty and the related social phenomena.This paper would dissertate from 3 perspectives: 1. outlay financing of new-style school in late Qing Dynasty; 2. charging of new-style school in late Qing Dynasty. The addressing point is the taking part of tuitions; 3. existent problems in the process of running new-style school in late Qing Dynasty.Through discussion for above problems, there should be some possible recognition for new-style education through analysis of its charge in late Qing Dynasty. The finance of new-style education in late Qing Dynasty is not only the problems of education, but also the issues that should be concerned in the process of modernization in late Qing Dynasty, that is to say, the educational finance has close relationship with the modernization of Qing Dynasty. From this study, researchers can get another cognizance for the development of modernization in China. This study can be used as reference for the reform of educational system and financial management of educational charge. At the same time the problem's investigation is full of significance,not only reform of education's system in contemporary society but aslo raising and managing education treasury.
