The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy, idea, information, innovation have become important capital. the connotation(and extension of the concept"learning"is continually enriched and expanded in the process of knowledge society. Learning is not only a short-term activity, but with the life of people, integrates people's lives; Learning is not only simply accepting the knowledge, it means being able to identify the problems and solve the problem. Specially the implementation of lifelong education and the Construction of learning society, which make learning consist in everywhere, and get along with us at all times, informal learning which play an important role among the rest. According to the survey, 80 percent knowledge which acquire in the work is from informal learning, 80 percent and even more knowledge which acquire in people's lifetime is from informal learning.College phase is the important change period for study form——from mainly to formal learning in primary and middle school to formal and informal learning are coexistence, and even informal learning is the main learning form in university. At the same time, the arrival of Web2.0 era provides a wider informal learning world for university students, through social software, students can participate in the study or other activities in Web2.0, which makes informal learning in Web2.0 become likelihood, and greatly enhances the chances of informal learning for college students.This thesis through literature research, survey and interviews research methods, aims at understand the status of informal learning for college students, and explore feasibility and validity of informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment, building an effective informal learning mode for college students in the information society, for the network study ,especially informal learning provide guidance and advice for university students.This thesis is divided into the following five parts: The first part introduces the background, status, purpose significance and methods of the research.The second part introduces the connotation, character, theoretical basis and typical form of informal learning, and discussed the significance of informal learning, which embodies five aspects, promoting the personality's comprehensive development to learners, promoting innovative learning, making up for the deficiency of formal learning, improving the practice wisdom and practical ability for learners, promoting the formation of lifelong learning and learning society.The third part introduces the concept, characteristics, the main form of Web2.0, demonstrates two factors which promote university students'informal learning in Web2.0 environment, one is that Web2.0 impacts on learning activities, such as learning environmental from formal to extensive, learning content from determinate to absolutely open, the controlling of learning process from the external factors to internal factors, as well as learning mode from independent competition to mutual assistance, that is more conducive to informal learning for people. The other is that the characteristics of college students makes informal learning become possibility, including college students'psychological characteristics provide the psychological needs for informal learning, the knowledge of their own offers the feasibility for informal learning, their wills offer necessary protection for informal learning, as well as the characteristics of college students provide feasibility for informal learning. Then expatiates that the meanings of informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment.The fourth part is about the demonstration research. At the first introduces the purpose, the object and methods of the demonstration study, then disposes and analyzes the data on students'consciousness, the main form, capacity, effectiveness and the quality of informal learning, and expatiates and analyzes network interview, finding out the problem which in college students'informal learning ,which are learning concept is outmoded, deficient sense of informal learning, learning strategy is rigidity, information literacy is weak, ability is bad, incentives is inadequate, the effect of informal learning is not perfect, as well as poor control, the moral quality needs to be raised, and other issues. Finally talk about how to consummate the strategy of informal learning for university in Web2.0 environment. Firstly, expatiate the strategy that solve the problems. Secondly, bring forward the new learning approach——"Micro content + Reflection" learning method to provide some help for college students'informal learning.The fifth part summarizes the main ideas of this thesis, the creation and the disadvantages of the research, and brings forward the directions of the post- research. The conclude is that the theory and demonstration research have demonstrated that informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment is entirely feasible, and has been accepted by many students, but by the results of learning is not so ideal, which mainly due to the learning ability of students, the complexity of Web2.0 and others factors. By demonstration research, we have a more comprehensive and clear understanding about the current situation of informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment, and bring forward a new learning approach, but there are also some disadvantages, such as foreign literature possession is not comprehensive enough, and the survey scope is not extensive enough. This thesis is just the beginning for the research on informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment,more questions, such as the effective way to informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment, ability elements needed to informal learning for college students in Web2.0 environment and so on, still need the further research and discussion.
