The sense of social responsibility is a kind of consciousness to the responsibility in the community that a person himself should shoulder. As it plays positive roles in promoting the development of social civilization, protecting national security and stability and safeguarding people's living in order, we must attach importance to the cultivation of awareness of social responsibility. It has practical significance to Moral Education in secondary vocational schools.In secondary vocational school, the students' thinking changes fast, easily into self-centered and being weak of social responsibility. Since after they leave school, most of them will embark on jobs and become an important force in building the community, it is very important for them with a strong sense of social responsibility both to them and the community. However, there is a gap clearly existing between the students' present situation and future needs of the community. The feasible way to narrow the gap, I think, is: In secondary vocational schools, we must regarded cultivating the students' awareness of social responsibility as the fulcrum of moral education, so that they are accustomed to the responsibility of individual choice as the starting point and based on the sense of responsibility. Concretely we can do the following:(A) About school overall work in moral education, we should take that community responsibility consciousness cultivates as fulcrum , ascertaining short , middle , long range moral education target. The short-term target is fostering a student to be responsible for themselves and othersin in daily studying; The medium term target is guiding a student to learn to be responsible for the collective in every school term studying; The long range target is reinforcing the culture cultivating to conscientious consciousness of collective, and leading to arrive at consciousness responsible for society in student's whole learning process.(B) It needs clear and definite contents to train students' community responsibility consciousness. Teachers should educate the students treating themselves, respecting themselves and inspire them to be responsible for their own lives, health, careers and emotion. Teachers must help students to learn how to care about the students, concern parents and help the weak; let students learn how to get along with others, to be in the interests of others first, moderate humility and courteous to others. Also let students know that their own growth and progress can not be separated from the collective care, help and influence; and the collective development and prosperity need the concern, efforts and collaboration of every member, so that they truly understand the truth of that "A drop only into the sea would not dry up. ". Educate the students closely integrated the ideals and aspirations of individuals with the community, make their strong sense of responsibility to community and get the confirmation of their own values, and thus to truly mature.(C) It needs choosing right approach to train students'community responsibility consciousness. Social responsibility awareness training needs through long-term comprehensive education, need to contact their families and communities, and achieve it through the "whole social education". We should bring the school host effect into play, with varied way of flexible application, choosing right effective approach. Effective ways of social responsibility awareness training, I think, are: 1. Construction of campus culture; 2. Do a good job in class management; 3. Help acts development; 4. Undertake positive education; 5. Reform normal teaching; 6. Strengthen home-school cooperation; 7. Strengthen community ties.
