John Locke was regarded as the first ever educator who came up with the concept of Gentleman's Education and formed the related teaching plan of it. What's more, he was also one of the representatives of the Gentleman's Education theory. Some Thoughts Concerning Education is his masterpiece on thought of Gentleman's Education. In the book, he not only put forward to the theory of the tabula rasa, but also for the first time brings about the idea of building the three dimensional type of education which is to develop morally, intellectually and physically. "The emergence of Gentleman's Education symbolizes the transition from feudal religious education to the bourgeoisie public education, which played an important role in formulation of the modern western world educational history."This article emphasizes on explaining the system of Gentleman's Education whose major mission is to cultivate the man of action. However the theory of Gentleman's Education is based on his perceptual philosophy of incomplete materialism. The main contents of his educational system are physical education, moral education and intellectual education.
