There is a clear distinction between primary school and secondary school in mathematics teaching. However, many freshmen follow a traditional mathematics learning methods and are not adapted to the mathematics learning to a certain extent. This phenomenon has not only brought the teaching of mathematics difficulties, but also become obstacles to the development of the students. Therefore, it has promoted the teachers in secondary schools to pay attention to and study the transition.Apart from consulting the literature and information, through the questionnaires to the freshmen in Grade 7, and interviews with math teachers, I have summed up the Math differences between primary schools and secondary schools in mathematics content, teaching methods and studying methods, as well as psychology. At the same time, I have analyzed why the students in Grade 7 are not adapted to the math study and why they get worse marks in math than in primary schools. In order to alleviate and solve these issues, aiming at the differences, I have promoted that the math teachers should do well in the transition, learn the teaching methods in primary schools and students, pay attention to the interface between the old and new knowledge, optimize the learning process in teaching, frost culture interest in learning and teaching of visual insist gradual infiltration of mathematical thinking mathematical thinking; We should strengthen math instruction for Learning, to develop good study habits; to help freshmen adapted to the new environment in learning and establish a sound mathematical learning beliefs. After teaching mathematics to the students in Grade 7, the aim of my thesis is to enhance their adaptability, build up their confidence, enhance interest in learning mathematics, master mathematics learning methods, foster mathematical thinking ability, and promote the sustainable development of the students'math study.
