Learning adaptability is the ability that the students adjust and improve continuously to reconcile themselves to the new learning life when their learning environment, contents and methods become different, so that they can try to avoid their learning efficiency coming down and gain the good effect. Grade one is a crucial stage for the students of junior high school. Therefore, it is of great practical significance research topic to discover the factors which lead to inadequate adaptation on their mathematics learning, to improve the level of learning adaptability.Based on the research of former researchers, the writer investigated two classes(116 students) she taught in Grade One in Luxiang Middle School by means of observation and personal interview. The results from the investigation suggest that the phenomena of inadequate adaptation exists among the students of Luxiang Middle School. There are 3 main heads which lead to the inadequate adaptation.1. Factor of differences between the textbooks and teaching aims of primary school and junior high school;2. Factor of differences between the learning strategies of primary school and junior high school;3. Infulence of non-intelligence factor.Through the discussion, the researcher finds that the inadequate adaptation could be improved by the positive measures which adopted by the teachers. Furthermore, the researcher comes up with several instructional strategies for the Grade One students of Luxiang Middle School to contribute the progress of their mathematics learning.
