The thesis studies the motivation management mechanism for non-governmental university faculty management in Jiangxi province. First, this thesis has set forth the background, the purpose and the significance of the research, has introduced the approach, method and related basic theories about motivation.Second, some teaching staff and administrators from several Jiangxi non-governmental universities are chosen to participate in the study. Questionaire and interview investigation are used as the research method. Drawing lessons from the stimulant theories of content type, course type, behavior of transforming type and comprehensive type in organizational behaviorism, the study intends to find out the the teachers' need characteristics from psychological point of view. It also analyses the existent problems and causes of motivation mechanism of Jiangxi non-governmental university from three aspects. Furthermore, this thesis has studied the motivation practices both home and abroad and has gained a good deal of enlightenment from their experiences by applying comparison research method.Finally, following the principle of constructing motivation mechanism, based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, Herzberg's two-factor theory and Vroom's expectancy theory, this thesis has presented countermeasure of building faculty motivation mechanism in non-governmental universities of Jiangxi province that includes setting up stimulant method choosing system based on the analytical investigation of the teachers' needs, building echelon formation plan system; perfecting the teachers recruitment and employment system, constructing the latest-model compensation and training mechanism and drawing up a long-term plan for teachers in Jiangxi non-governmental universities etc.
