New curriculum reforms of our country elementary education is cultivating the student, who have creativity and exploring spirit. WebQuest is precisely such a new teaching pattern which conforms to the time request.Based on the multitudinous scholars' researches, this article has discussed the origin and the development condition of WebQuest, has analyzed the relations between WebQuest and the investigative study, proposed the investigative study teaching design pattern on WebQuest, and has analyzed WebQuest teaching design cases of partial curriculum of Primary Schools.The article draws a conclusion through research: Developing the investigative study on WebQuest in the elementary school is feasible and effective, because the investigative study and curriculum teaching in elementary school can strongly complement each other. Using the WebQuest in developing investigative teaching has the positive effect in cultivating student's inquisition ability and information process ability, broadening student knowledge sphere, enlightening wisdom. The WebQuest teaching design pattern proposed in the article provide the valuable reference for the investigative study in Primary Schools.
