Sports, as an active way in building up man's body, fighting against violence and protecting our homes and defending our country, plays an important role in Taiping Heaven Campaign, such as organizing masses, arming the masses, protecting revolutions, attacking the enemy, wiping out the enemy, and shaking the foundation stones of reactive reign. Therefore, the importance of sport rises up to a revolution closely related level. In the end, we make a conclusion of sports at Taiping Heavenly Kindom Dynasty.First, strong military colours. At times of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, military administrations are implemented to armed forces, as well as to regions and masses under its domination. Its guiding principles and training items had the characteristics of military sports.Second, universality. The Taiping Heaven Campaign adopts a military strategic outlook of"basing military within the civilian". In other words, it employed"military and civilian as one"strategy to enlarge its pool of servicemen. Therefore, military sports have an universal mass character.Third, Wuju held at Taiping heavenly Kingdom times advanced the development of sports. Given the limits of its poor economic, soldiers are trained mainly through traditional military sports at that time. But Wuju made some reforms to sports and accelerated the development of sports at that time. Furthermore, it also has an significant enlightenment to choose elites in gymnasium through exams nowadays.Fourth, The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom has introduced some western sports items. The Taiping Heavenly Kingdom introduced some modern western sports to train soldiers. Although the imported sports only cover a small field, but it undoubtedly is a success.
