In order to probe into the stress situation of young college teachers' work and toseek some effective strategies for stress management, this thesis, on the basis oftheories of job stress and teacher stress, works out the questionnaires of YoungUniversity Teachers' Occupational Stress and Young University Teachers' Way ofCoping. Accordingly some investigation and study are conducted as follows:With convenience sampling method, 400 young college teachers wereinvestigated from 9 universities of 4 provinces in China, including Shaanxi, Jiangxi,Shandong and Anhui, and 325 available samples were collected at last. The reliabilityof the questionnaires is checked up with the Homogeneity Reliability test and theSplit-reliability test. And the validity was checked with exploratory factor analysisand confirmatory factor analysis. The test results show that the reliability and validityof the questionnaires are generally up to the questionnaire-making points, and notbad.The young university teachers' occupational stress questionnaire includes 7dimensions: Evaluation and assessment, Teaching and management, ScientificResearch, Promotion, Career Advancement, Relationship and Social effect. The resultof the difference significance test shows that the stress sense of young universityteachers' occupation isn't significant on sex, but on the educational background, age,the title of a technical post and teaching time, and it's very signifecant on the subjectcategory. Correlation Analysis shows that the young university teachers'occupationalstress is correlated with their negative coping significantly. The three independentvariables involved in the regression equation are subject category, age and"self-denial" way of coping. Based on the research results mentioned above, thethesis analyzes the reasons in detail why the young university teachers' occupationalstress comes into being, and then proposes: On the one hand, the university teachersshould have positive emotion, attitude and action to cope with stress; On the otherhand,the universities should carry out some management education for teacher stress,establishing counseling mechanism, and actualize human-oriented teachermanagement.
