Study On The Functions Of Human's Irrational Factor

The irrational factors pass through the long history of the rational philosophy. The irrational and the rational as both sides of the human spirit are inseparable. The pure rational and irrational all do not exist. Exploring the dark world of unconsciousness is to demonstrate the powerful light beam of consciousness; developing the in-depth mineral resources of the irrational is to cast the golden statue of the rational. With the development of the science, human beings deepen their knowledge and develop their ability to transform the nature and society, but the problems they face are becoming more not fewer. One of the important reasons is that the human beings'spirit, mentality and cognition are difficult to take the reins. However, the irrational factor which is closely linked with them and has developed in the process of cognition and practice is still a blind spot. In the recent years, discuss on the human's irrational factor disabuse the puzzle of human's non-reason, but it is far from adequate. On the basis of Marxism historical epistemology, the article discusses the irrational factor from three aspects, that is, what the irrational factors is, the function of it in the course of the subject perceive ideologically and practically the object to exploit its advantages to the full and promote human's understanding and transformation of the world more smoothly.First, the thesis points out the position and function of the irrational and rational in the human's whole spirit world, and account for the reasons to study the function of human's irrational. Then it dissertate the relative theories, history and the realistic premise, and proposes my own methods of studying the irrational factor.Next, it gives the definition to the concept of human's irrational factor. The realization of the connotation, the characteristic and the structure are mainly through reviewing the present cognition both in China and foreign countries and unifying the domestic and foreign research and presentation of irrational factor concerned in Marxism. The key point is to give the clear definition to the concept of human's irrational factor to pave the ground for the presentation of next two parts.In the third part, the function of human's irrational factor in the terms of epistemology is analyzed. It mainly contains two aspects: one is the positive and negative function of the irrational factor when the subject ideologically perceives the object; the other is the positive and negative function of the irrational factor when the subject practically transforms the object.Finally, the genetic mechanism, condition and guidance of the irrational factor are discussed. The subjective and the objective mechanism of occurrence of non-rational factors are discovered from the aspects of physiological, psychological and social mechanisms. They really influence the human beings in the term of the multiplicity of the social culture, social economy and the complexity of social environment—mainly the influence and restriction in psychology, understanding, and spirit, which get to know the reasons of positive and negative functions of irrational factor. Through this kind of comprehensive analysis and understanding, we had known that to transform and understand the world is a social progress, so we should synthesize all kinds of positive, upward and beneficial non-rational factor to play a positive role for human. Only in this way, we can understand and transform the world better, and also can develop ourselves better.The history of the human and the development of the scientific cultural are all the rational evident, which led an important act in the progress of the society. When we affirm the rational function, we do not neglect the irrationality, which is different with rationality. The emotion, the will, the instinct, the inspiration and the intuition often led to the mysticism and the fideism in the history. The irrationality has one-sidedness, probable, the inertia and the negativity without doubt. But at the same time it also can promote the rational knowledge with the stimulation, the bridge, the power and the adjustment and so on the positive role and it is supplementary with rationality by its unique view. The person has its irrational factor as a complete existence. Regardless of the emotion, the will, the instinct, the inspiration and the intuition, they are playing own role every time in the understanding and practice. The rational factor is supplemented by the irrational factor, which derives moistening and instruction of the rational factor. If they have mutual union and mutual supplement, we develop the respective priority taking the rational factor as the leading. The pure rational factor and the pure irrational factor are not all existed. We knew that the irrational factor was produced in the foundation of understanding and transforming the world and we should pay attention to the mechanism, the condition and the scope of the irrational factor function and guide it correctly. We should better develop its positive role with the rational factor and the irrational factor together building the harmony of spiritual. We can"live poetically"in the reality life.
