It is necessary for a school to implement teaching by employing the widespread and continuous rational behavior, nevertheless, teachers' irrational behavior will inevitably undermine the normal order of school and harm the body and mental health of teacher as well as student. Teachers' irrational behavior not only exert a long and profound negative influence over the body and mental development of student, but also does harm to students' mental development and stunts students' social personality.This paper has studied teachers' irrational behavior on the basis of realistic requirement, and some suggestions to the development of school and teacher have been put forward. Focused on this topic, the followings are under discussion.Chapter 1, the meaning of irrational behavior and the relation between teachers' belief and behavior have been explored. Irrational behavior means any thought, emotion or action which is unreasonable, illogical, or obviously disturbing the pleasant life of ones own or other people. It arises from irrational idea and belief. Some irrational beliefs of teacher will be displayed in the teaching process or mutual contact between teacher and student.Chapter 2, some detailed irrational behaviors have been analysed through survey, for example, directly harm students' body, insulting students' dignity, hurting students' emotion, and the affect has been analysed from the view point of pedagogy, sociology, psychology, law, and economics.Chapter 3, teachers' irrational behavior will be influenced by the following aspects. First of all, obsolete teaching concept, high pressure under examination. Second, psychological reason. Third, weak sense of legal institutions. Fourth, frailty of supervising mechanism on educational law. Fifth, deficiency of teachers' moral character.To reduce and eliminate teachers' irrational behavior, it needs society, school, teacher, student and parent all to take actions. On the basis of investigation and cause analysis, responding strategies have been put forward on the last part of this paper: First, update teaching concept and improve teachers' self-adjusting ability. Second, strengthen psychological education and raise teachers' psychological adjusting ability. Third, emphasis the sense of law education and enlighten the ideas of democracy. Fourth, consummate supervising mechanism and administration system. Fifth, reinforce moral education and enhance teachers' quality.
