A Study Of College Students’ Irrational Patriotism

Patriotism has not only the inheritance of history but also the distinct epochal character.Different times have different requirements for the patriotic expression of the main body.In the outline of patriotism education in the new era,the author puts forward the way of expressing patriotic emotion to the patriotic subject: "advocating unity of knowledge and practice,promoting patriotic feelings into practical actions,making people express patriotic feelings rationally and oppose extreme behaviors." The specific requirements of.The contemporary young college students have a lot of patriotic emotion and energy.Most of them can express their patriotic feelings politely and systematically.But in recent years,the irrational patriotic phenomenon of college students has attracted widespread attention of the society.Under the influence of various subjective and objective factors,some young college students do not think carefully when expressing their patriotic feelings,and take irrational behaviors which are contrary to their patriotic motives,which leads to the irrational patriotic phenomenon of college students.The irrational patriotic expression of college students not only does not meet the requirements of the implementation outline of patriotism education in the new era,but also harms the national interests,damages the national image,even induces the extreme nationalism tendency of college students,and has a bad impact on the society.Therefore,this paper attempts to analyze these irrational patriotic phenomena,and analyze the causes of irrational patriotic phenomenon of college students,and put forward the guiding education countermeasures for the irrational patriotic phenomenon of college students,which is of great significance to guide the rational patriotic of contemporary college students.This paper summarizes the irrational phenomena of patriotism in some college students from three aspects: patriotic thought,patriotic emotion and patriotic behavior,which is embodied in the rigidity of thought,emotional fanaticism and violent extreme.It is pointed out that these irrational patriotic phenomena not only damage the image of the country and nation,disturb the social security and stability,but also induce the extreme nationalism tendency of college students.Therefore,this paper analyzes the internal and external causes of these irrational patriotic phenomena.The internal root is from the three angles of knowledge,emotion and behavior,which are the three root causes: the misunderstanding of the patriotic subject’s facts,the deviation of emotional expression and the deviation of action purpose.The external sources list the impact of nationalism on the patriotic thoughts of college students,the incitement of some media to the patriotic feelings of college students,and the mismatch between traditional patriotism education and the patriotic needs of college students.Finally,based on the internal and external causes of irrational patriotic phenomenon of college students,combined with the actual work of patriotic education in Colleges and universities,the paper puts forward the specific countermeasures to guide the rational patriotic of college students.Through the research of irrational patriotic phenomenon of some college students,this paper deeply understands that the change of patriotic phenomenon is rich and diverse,and the research on rational guidance for the irrational patriotic problem of college students also needs to follow the change of phenomenon and the development of the times.This paper mainly analyzes the irrational patriotic phenomenon of some college students from the present situation.How to effectively eliminate these irrational patriotic phenomena and reduce their harm need further exploration.
