The gender and age of child are notfound to be significant determinants for parental expectation. Parents with single childor not demonstrate significant difference in parental expectation. In addition to the ageof parents, parental expectations for their children are influenced by factors of theeducation and occupation of the parents, and the socioeconomic status and area ofliving. In general, it is concluded that parents had very high expectation on children'seducational level.
