Study On The Characteristics And Related Factors Of Parental Rearing Style Of Autistic Children

Autistic Spectrum Disorders(ASD)is a lifelong developmental disorder with abnormal behavior caused by disorders of the nervous system.At present,there is no effective drug treatment for this disorder,the main rehabilitation training for ASD children is educational intervention.A large number of studies have shown that parental rearing styles play an important role in the prognosis of children with ASD children.To investigate the characteristics and related factors of parental rearing styles of ASD children,this study selected 190 parents of ASD children and 191 parents of Typical Developing(TD)children in Zhangzhou and Quanzhou,through fill out the “Parent Nurse Parenting Style Questionnaire”,collected data to explore the differences in parental rearing styles between ASD children's parents and TD children and their characteristics in demographic variables.And ASD children's parents fill out the "Parent Parenting Efficacy Questionnaire","Enlightenment Social Support Questionnaire","Special Parents' Expectations for Children's Questionnaire" and other questionnaires to collect data on ASD children's parents' parenting efficacy,comprehend social support,parents' expectation.explore the relationship between parental efficacy,perceived social support,parental expectations and parenting styles in ASD children was also studied.The results showed that:(1)There were significant differences between parents of ASD and TD in rearing style.The parental rearing style of ASD children was more negative,and the gender,education level,occupation and two types of parents had interaction in rearing style.(2)The parental parenting efficacy of ASD children is low,and it's can positively predict the democratic rearing style,negatively predict the doting,indulgent,and inconsistent parenting styles.All dimensions of parental perceived social support were not related to the parental rearing style of ASD children.Parents' expectation of emotional regulation can positively predict the autocratic parenting style.(3)Parental parenting efficacy has an indirect effect between parents' learning adaptive emotional and regulation expectations of children and parents' inconsistent parenting style.In summary,the parental rearing style of ASD children's parents is relatively negative,parents' own background characteristics and parenting efficacy,parental expectations influence the choice of parenting style.
