This paper analyzes the challenges and conflicts that birth control technology brings to university students' sex ethics on the basis of birth control technology and its ethical values. While mainly revealing the features of university students' sex ethics at present and the four conspicuous conflicts, it also studies the corresponding measures which can help to get rid of difficulties, and proposes an education pattern. with university student's sex ethics as the main focus and students' harmonious development in an all-round way as the starting point. With the development of birth control technology, there appears a brand-new life style—"technically" sexual life, that is, university students can freely control child-bearing with the technology without worrying about unexpected pregnancy any more. However, with the escalating free sexual behavior, the "two-blade sword" nature of birth control technology is thoroughly exposed. It is on the one hand now challenging moral concepts of university students about sex and value standards, which encourages their idea of sexual liberation; on the other hand it is conflicting with the sacred and pure sexual behavior, which involuntarily acknowledges their sexual behavior before marriage. Such challenges result in the pluralist trend of their moral concepts about sex and their unduly open sexual behavior, which brings about four conflicts: the conflict between the right to sex and the responsibility for sex; the conflict between birth control technology and marriage for love; the conflict between sexual love and committed love; the conflict between backward education in sex ethics and conspicuous sex problems. Then how can education in university student's sex ethics get rid of the predicament brought by birth control technology? This paper proposes an education pattern with university student's sex ethics as the main part and explores it from the point of view of education, the content and the carrier, aiming to train university students to be modern morally civilized person's practicing self-education, making independent decisions, self-control and self-evaluation.
