Employment is an important view which we observe women's economic rights and social status. After the founding of the PRC, women employment, compared with the previous, shows fundamental changes and outstanding achievements. Thus, the status of women in the family and society has an enormous impact on women's social roles and images with a fundamental change. However, as the socio-economic structural reform and continuity of reform and opening up, the employment situation of women in conditions of a market economy is also experiencing great changes and causing many people thought.In this paper, on basis of the current status and research achievements of women employment at home and abroad, using methods of the comparative analysis and theory and practice analysis, it reviews the research theories and history of Chinese women employment; analyzes profoundly the main problems and the causes and effects of the Chinese women employment at present. According to some foreign countries'effective experiences and the specific reality in China, this paper advances some corresponding solutions to settle down the problems of Chinese women employment. This paper includes six chapters.Chapter1: Introduction. This section describes the basic problems of the article, including the background, status, meaning, purpose, content, methods, and innovations of research and the interpretation of some concepts.Chapter2: Review on the theory of women employment. This chapter is divided into two sections. In the first section, it describes some foreign scholars'theories on women employment. In the second section, it describes domestic scholars'issues and views on women employment.Chapter3: History on the employment status of Chinese women. This chapter deals primarily with data charts, and recalls the great progress of women employment in China. It is divided into two sections: the first section is a comprehensive review of the quantity changes of Chinese women employment since the founding of the PRC; the second section explains the structural changes of Chinese women employment during this period; the last section expounds the changes in women's labor protection and occupational safety in our country.Chapter4: Analysis on the main problems and reasons and impacts of Chinese women employment at present. This chapter is viewed as the key of paper and includes three sections. Firstly, it explains in detail the main problems of Chinese women employment. Secondly, it analyzes emphatically the reasons of problems with the economic, cultural and educational, physiological and psychological, and legal factors. Thirdly, it discusses mainly the impacts of gender discrimination in employment on Chinese women, men and our whole society.Chapter5: Countermeasures and suggestions on solving the problem of Chinese women employment. For one thing, the paper elaborates the relevant countermeasures of western countries. For another, based on China's realities and other countries'effective experience, it proposes some solutions with the political, economic, cultural, educational and legal aspects.Chapter6: Conclusion. This chapter points out the shortcomings of paper and directions for future research. |
