In recent years, with the popularization of higher education continues to advance, appears on our labor market the different forms of group differences, this paper focus on employment and salary differences between first degree graduate students, which not only refers to differences between different employment first graduate degree job search results vary, also including employment and job satisfaction units nature difference. In private endowments features the same circumstances, the main cause of different first degree graduate employment and starting salary difference is the labor market by different first degree graduate distinctive treatment, according to the first academic distinction of such treatment can be carried out as a first degree discrimination. First degree of labor market discrimination, education discrimination in the labor market against the basic law of market economy, resulting in a waste of human resources, it is rich in human resources development strategy and incompatible with our conduct, but not conducive to narrowing the already widening wage differences.Currently domestic scholars differ on these two categories is not comprehensive enough, mostly qualitative, descriptive explanation, but the extent of discrimination for the first degree graduate employment and salary caused a kind of impact, it is still lacking more severe measure research evidence. Different from previous studies that the contribution of this study is mainly manifested in more rigorous research methods used, the contents of the study and more comprehensive. In addition to research salary differences between first degree graduate, the present study results also different first job postgraduate education, employment and job satisfaction nature of the unit were analyzed. The study includes four main issues:first, the results of the differences first job postgraduate education. Second, the starting salary differences between first degree graduate. Third, employment units of different first degree graduate differences in the nature. Fourth, the difference between the first degree graduate job satisfaction difference.As used herein, the end of May 2015 to early June for seven major colleges and universities in Wuhan city (where "985" university 2, "211" university 5) official sample survey data on these four issues empirical analysis.The main findings include:First, there is work to implement the probabilities of different first degree graduate of significant differences, graduated from an ordinary college graduate in the labor market is relatively disadvantaged. Usage Variance decomposition shows that differences in the probability of work to implement the first postgraduate degree in almost half from unexplained factors like discrimination.Second, he graduated from the "211 Project" universities (including the "985 Project" universities, the same below) graduate starting salary level than ordinary college students graduated from higher 11.8 percent. Quantile regression results show a more rich content:the relatively high starting salary, first degree effect in grammar and education majors in performance was more obvious; in the low starting salary, finance and information technology, ESCH and other industries in the first degree effect is more prominent. After the first degree with different decomposition graduate starting salary differences found in the mean starting salary level, salary differences between first degree graduate has 62.51 percent from discrimination; the distribution level on the salary, in addition to high starting salaries quintile (90th and above), the first degree of discrimination in the remaining sub-position were evident, and to a greater extent in the distribution of low-end salary.Third, remove job results and starting salary, but also on the probability of first degree students entering the system unit caused a significant impact:Graduated from "211" college graduate than undergraduate students graduated from different institutions to enter the system the probability of the unit's high 59.4 percent. After graduate employment units for different decomposed difference between the first degree can be found in the unit into the institutional side, there are still almost half of the difference from the first acts of discrimination against different qualifications.Fourth, the first degree is also significantly affected the employment of graduate satisfaction:Compared to ordinary college students graduated, graduated from the "211 Project" of graduate employment is high 59.7 percent more satisfied. Huge differences in first degree graduate employment level of satisfaction for the next decomposition provides the necessity of difference. In different first degree candidate employment satisfaction differences, there are still 52.23%of the difference can not be explained by human capital, social capital, quality of education and the labor market, hi short, the first degree of discrimination is an important cause of graduate employment and salary differences.
