With the development of society and people's thorough understanding on teacher's occupation, teachers' professional development has become one of the focuses in the educational circles. The duration of a teacher in-service is the longest but the most important period in teacher's professional development. Therefore, it is essential to promote the special training during this period of time. However, with quite a few problems, the present in-service training of teacher is unoptimistic. In this thesis I will lay particular stress on studying the in-service middle school teacher education in ShenZhen and try to reflect the current situation in the similar cities of economic prosperity as Shenzhen. I will also analyze the cause of these problems and put forward for consideration the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.By research work, I believe that teachers' on-service training should be suited to the characteristic of the period in teacher's professional development. This training should be administrative and progressive so that it can meet the need of individuality in different training periods and therefore enhance the effect to an maximum degree.This thesis is mainly divided into fore sections. The first part is the preface. I will give an explanation on the selection of topic by analyzing the background and researching the current situation. In the second part, I will, by practical investigation, analyze the current situation of in-service middle school teacher education in Shenzhen. In the third part, I will, from different aspects, find out the cause that have influenced on the effects of the training and includes the understanding of professional development, the system, the principal part and the plan in training. In the last part, I will put forward my countermeasures and make suggestions by understanding and analyzing the cause. I will also place great emphasis on school-based training. |
