The professional development of the teacher is one of the most concerned issues all over the world, it turns out to be more particular in China for the weaknesses existed in the teacher training models, i.e. the un-distinctive goal of educational reform, the isolation of training institutions, and the methods, the contents and the incentives used not being matched up with the practical needs of the school. Therefore, a new kind of teacher training model is urgently needed to solve the problems.Teacher training is to update teacher's practice to better match the expectation of the society. The school-based training model has been proved to be the most effective way in achieving the goal especially for the teachers in parliamentary and middle schools. The core of the model is that the training should meet the practical needs of a school and the teacher. To better use the school-based training program, we need to change our certain views towards the training, pay more attention to the procedures, and holds tightly to the training principals to apply more practical models in the teacher's training.We should also be de-regulative, breaking various limitations upon teacher's training while bringing more initiatives into it. This article introduce some school-based training models from America, United Kingdom, Germany and Japan, these models are going to breath new ideas if they can be integrated into the teacher's training in China. There are also a lot of good training values worth our learning in the business sectors, so the article introduce the employees-training methods from the well known multinational companies, such as Panasonic from Japan, Motorola and IBM from U.S..In an era of pursuing life long education, our teacher's training should specify the training to the needs of the trainees and the schools. Therefore, the efficiency and high effectiveness is the main objective of teacher training in the future. And if we are obliged to do so, it will greatly help to promote the teacher professional level, and help teachers to form the sustainable self-training capabilities in their whole career life.
