Objective: This paper analyzes the effect of moderate exercise on peripheral bloodLymphocytes apoptosis and Bax, Bcl-2 Gene expression in the psychological stress rats. Methods: Thirty two health male SD rats were divided into four groups. As follows:one as controlled group (C, n=8), one only got psychological stress (P, n=8), onereceived swimming training for 60mins (S, n=8), one received swimming training for60mins and psychological stress (PS, n=8). The Open-field test, SOD activity and theMDA content in peripheral blood of SD rats, and the Lymphocytes apoptosis and Bax,Bcl-2 Gene expression in peripheral blood of SD rats were determined. Results: Compared with C group, the numbers of crossing by P,S and PS group weresignificantly higher; the numbers of rearing by P,S and PS group were lower than Cgroup. Compared with C group, the SOD activity in P and S group were significantlyhigher, the SOD activity in PS were lower; the MDA concentration in P group weresignificantly increased, while the MDA concentration in S group were significantlydecreased, however, the MDA concentration in PS group were lower but not significantly.Compared with C group, the apoptosis in peripheral blood Lymphocytes (PBL) of ratsincreased significantly in P group and decreased significantly in S group; the apoptosis ofPS group in peripheral blood Lymphocytes(PBL) of rats decreased significantlyCompared with P group; moreover they consist with the expression of the relatedregulatory genes. The moderate exercise maybe brings down the intensity ofoxygen-stress reaction to depress the effect on peripheral blood Lymphocytes apoptosisand Bax, Bcl-2 Gene expression in the psychological stress rats. Conclusions: One of possible mechanism is that the moderate exercise maybe bringsdown the intensity of oxygen-stress reaction to depress the effect on peripheral bloodLymphocytes apoptosis in the psychological stress rats.
