Composition is an experience. In the point view of the experiencing aesthetic experts, the experience of writers is the basic way to conceive and make the great art. Students'compositions differ from the creating of writers. However, the theme of composition, which is not separated from the experience of students, is the life experience of students, "the Chinese Curriculum Criteria for Full-time Schools of compulsory Education"(Draft) issued in 2001 points out:"writing needs sincere emotion to express individual feelingand true experience towards nature, society, and life." So it is necessary to propose theteaching of experiencing type composition and to improve the present situation, in whichthe traditional exam-oriented composition teaching ingores or even puts away the experience of students. Based on the new thoughts of composition teaching of newcurriculum syllabus and the theory of experiencing aesthetics, this paper, which learns from the present researchment of experiencing type composition teaching and takes composition teaching of middle school as an example, tries to do some new searches about the composition teaching both from the theoretical and the practiceal aspect.The paper is composed of three parts.The first part is the explanation of experiencing type teaching. Firstly, this part introduces experience and experiencing type composition teaching. And then it interprets the significance of experiencing type composition teaching. Experiencing type composition teaching bases on the aesthetic experiencing theory. And the theory takes it for granted that the great arts are the active expressions which come from the emotion, the wakening, and the discovery of writers'experience. What flow in the arts is blood of writers'emotion and what surge is feeling and thoughts of writers, which are full of life.Therefore, excellent students'compositions are also the external and active expression of their life experience. The successful composition teaching method is not to demandwhat and how students should write, but to ask students to write their individualexperience. The teaching of experiencing type composition states that compositions stem from students' life experience. In students'experiencing process, they understand life and draw back to life, and meanwhile they become to realize that it is necessary for them to make composition as the way to express their emotion, surpass...
