The teaching of pupils’ composition has got attention all the time. In the new curriculum reform, students’ experience is emphasized; that is to say, pupils’ composition must be connected with their experience and the two parts are indivisible. So, the teaching of experience becomes a key to change the current situation of pupils’ composition. As a Chinese teacher in primary school, I try to propose some opinions of the teaching of experience, which based on my studying and learning of "Chinese Curriculum Standard" and my teaching practice in senior grades of primary school.This thesis consists of six chapters.Chapter One is about the basic information of the teaching of experience and the review at home and abroad:the history of the teaching of experience, the definition of experience, composition and experiential composition. This chapter proposed the foundermental theories for the following study.Chapter Two is about the meaning, object and method of this research. The research meaning is to show the value of this teaching in theory and in practice; the research object is to build the frame of the teaching of experience in senior grades and propose some practical strategies.Chapter Three is analyzed the problems in pupil’s composition in senior grades, including the content which is full of big words without anything in it or far away from the real life, lack of emotion or no innocence, not rich in details or lack of wholeness, many stereotypes and copies and lack of activity or enthusiasm in students.Chapter Four is about the function, features and the principles of the teaching of experience. The function is to realize and improve students in mind and concern. The features of this teaching are processing, individuality, subjectivity, experiencing, emotionality and aesthetism. The principles are general, harmonious, active and targeted.Chapter Five is my teaching experience of composition in senior grades of primary school. During my teaching example in practice, the theory of teaching of experience is detailed and proved by a lot of information and evidence.Chapter Six is about the strategies of the teaching of experience. Firstly, it is from students’ interest to reduce restraint and difficulty. Secondly, to build a reasonable value system is to support the return of subjective consciousness. Thirdly, to break out the thinking set is to highlight individualism. Last but not least, to develop students’ humanistic spirit is to get the sublime personality in writing.
