Reading is the effective way for person to achieve lifelong study. And reading teaching is one of the important parts of philological teaching. To reform and select a reading teaching pattern is an important task of philological teaching reform. The study on constructing the entire teaching pattern of philological reading teaching is a search for the field. This paper discusses the constructing process of the entire teaching pattern from theoretical and practical aspects. Firstly, starting with the significance of reading and reading teaching, the reform main points of the oriental reading teaching and the contrasting of reading teaching pattern in recent twenty years of our country, then analyses the background of pattern constructing, moreover, find the central word "entire". Afterwards, elaborate the pattern's conception dentally from concept, goal theoretical basic, and feature and structuring frame of the entire teaching pattern of reading teaching. Finally, test this pattern by practice and verify the feasibility and practical significance of the entire teaching pattern of philological reading teaching.
