Schoolwork burden is a special phenomenon, which will encourage students to develop when it is appropriate,and when it is excessive will be harmful to students and useless to education. For a long time middle and primary schoolchildren in our country faced excessive schoolwork, which puzzled base education, and was concerned by social organizations.In this paper we learned schoolwork burden of middle schoolchildren, especially chemistry schoolwork, by investigation and interview. Our objective is to comprehend properly implication of schoolwork burden, find out source of excessive schoolwork, take effective measure to relieve schoolwork burden of middle schoolchildren from view of chemistry teacher.The fact demonstrated that schoolwork burden of middle schoolchildren is heavy indeed, it is a long-term, tremendous, complicated systematic programme, which needs common effort coming from country, society, family, school and teachers. The key to relieve schoolwork burden is raise working efficiency. Teachers standing right in the forefront of the education must realize his own responsibility, try their best to change education idea, raise efficiency of classroom instruction, alter valuation pattern to students, become a researching teacher, facilitate students to develop healthy and joyfully.
