Much work has been done in the field of reading teaching from the perspective of aesthetics, but the way researchers have been adopting is only to cultivate and educate people by using beauty as a tool. They haven't realized that the reading teaching activity itself has the property of beauty, let alone the fact that in the guidance of a proper aesthetic theory, the combination of aesthetic rules and teaching rules can enhance the efficiency of reading teaching. However, aesthetic reading teaching believes that beauty is one of the basic properties of the whole reading teaching activity and this activity itself is full of beauty. It is a process to experience and feel beauty, a process to create and pursue beauty as well as a process in which the body is filled with beauty and one can be immersed in a free circumstance. Therefore, aesthetic reading teaching is a new teaching concept, which can promote reading teaching into a brand new stage. This thesis tries to do some research in this field.The thesis includes four chapters. The first chapter is about the connotation of the theory of aesthetic reading teaching. This chapter is further divided into three parts. The first part points out that aesthetic reading teaching is the process of the aesthetic establisher (the teachers) leading the aesthetic subject (the students) to appreciate an article, which enable the students to obtain knowledge and at the same time to get special aesthetic experience. This is the most perfectionized theory that can mold one's temperament, promote one's aesthetic realm and integrate one's character. This part also gives an explanation of"appreciation","beauty"and the beauty of the aesthetic activity itself. The second part talks about the theoretical foundation on which aesthetic reading teaching is based: Ontology of Language, Aesthetic Education Theory and Reception Aesthetics Theory. The third part points out the significance of aesthetic reading teaching: to promote learning through beauty and perfect teaching, to promote virtues through beauty and improve one's realm, to create beauty through beauty and achieve self-realization.
