According to the documentation issued by the Ministry of Education of China in the July of 2001, the Science (7-9 grade) Course Standards of Compulsory Education, four versions of Science Experimental Textbooks were published by Zhejiang Press, Shanghai Educational Press, East China Normal University Press and Wuhan Press respectively, and these textbooks have undertook field trials in related region since then. In this study, three versions of these Science textbooks (7-9 grade), namely, Wuhan Press, Zhejiang Press and East China Normal University Press, were compared and reviewed in the following aspects, structure and system, main principle and characteristics of design. The differences in the table of contents, structures and the order of the content arrangements of these three versions were compared in the structure and system section. About the characteristics of book design, we compared and reviewed these different versions in scientific inquiry study, subjects, activities and experiments design, print and illustration, preface and appendix. Great progress in the writing of the integrated Science textbook had been found in our comparison, which makes diversified change in the Science teaching materials of our country, furthermore, the problem exists in the Science course of middle school had been discussed in this study.
