The 2022 edition of the Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education points out that science teaching should be based on the development of students’ core competencies.As one of the important teaching resources,the history of science contains a deep understanding of the development process of scientific knowledge,which can help students understand the nature of science and cultivate students’ scientific spirit and inquiry ability.Therefore,infiltrating the history of science education in primary school science teaching has certain reference significance,so that students can understand basic scientific knowledge,master the ideological methods of scientific inquiry,establish scientific spiritual,gradually improve students’ scientific literacy,and promote students’ all-round development in the process of learning the history of science.With the aim of cultivating students’ scientific literacy,this paper reviews the development of the history of science teaching at home and abroad,the application of the history of science in primary school science textbooks at home and abroad,and the teaching practice of the history of science teaching model at home and abroad.On the basis of understanding the development of the teaching of the history of science,the researchers took the teaching edition of primary school science textbooks as an example to compare the arrangement and distribution of the contents of "Earth and Space Science field" in the 2017 edition of primary school science textbooks in China.The researchers use the scientific history of "human exploration to discover the shape of the Earth" to string together the relevant knowledge of the contents of "Our Earth Model","the Change of the Earth Surface" and "the Structure of the Earth",and integrate them into the science history teaching of "The Shape of the Earth".In the scientific history of "The debate and course of the two universities of Earth movement",the relevant knowledge of the contents of "Human understanding of the history of Earth movement","the phenomenon of day and night Alternation" and "the revolution of the Earth and the change of the seasons" is combined into the teaching of science history of "Understanding the History of Earth Movement".The science history of "Four Seasons of Shadow Length Change" is taught with "gnomon and Sundial" science history,so as to clarify that researchers can use the relevant contents of "Earth Movement" and "Earth Surface Change" to combine and reconstruct the content of scientific knowledge development lines.The researchers reconstructed the teaching content according to the teaching content,the knowledge logic system between the contents,and the 2022 Compulsory Education Science Curriculum Standards.In other words,the knowledge development line was from the history of science in which human beings explored the shape of the earth to the history of science in which human beings understood the mode of earth motion,and the teaching practice research was conducted for students in grade 5 and 6 according to the teaching design of the history of science in the field of Earth and space.Finally,according to the observation points and research purposes,the scientific knowledge was measured before and after and the questionnaire was compiled,distributed to students in grade five and six,and the questionnaire was collected and the results were analyzed.Taking the teaching practice of the researchers in Guilin A School as an example,the effect of teaching practice was tested.By observing the comparison between the practical teaching process and the scientific knowledge,as well as the learning attitude of the history of science and the questionnaire survey of scientific inquiry,the researchers confirmed that the integration of the history of science into the science teaching of primary school students is conducive to cultivating the scientific spirit of primary school students,and the teaching of the history of science combined with scientific inquiry activities is conducive to students’ understanding of scientific inquiry,and the implementation of the teaching design of the history of science is also conducive to the cultivation of students’ scientific learning thinking,which indicates that the teaching case of the history of science designed in this study can be used as a reference model for the teaching of the history of science.Finally,in order to give full play to the educational value of the history of science,based on the above research results,the following suggestions are proposed.1.Suggestions for the teaching design of the history of science:(1)Combine the content of the history of science and the curriculum standard to formulate teaching objectives,such as the researcher combined with the "history of human understanding of the movement of the earth" Galileo used a telescope to confirm Copernicus’ s views in the content of the history of science,emphasizing the relationship between science and technology and the development of scientific knowledge in the dimension of scientific concepts;(2)Understand the students’ situation in advance and choose the appropriate content of science history,such as being able to use the scientific history of "human exploration of the shape of the earth" as the main line to teach the knowledge of the shape,surface and structural characteristics of the earth;(3)A variety of modes of history of science can be used for teaching,such as "The Shape of the Earth" The teaching method of history of science using the history of science-debate and group discussion teaching method to explore the process of the shape of the earth;(4)Diversified teaching media,such as "short videos on the history of science,geography simulation software to understand the earth,animation demonstrations,photos",etc.;2.Suggestions for the implementation process of the teaching content of the history of science:(1)Establish rules for science courses,such as group inquiry activities and group discussion sessions,do not walk out of the seat,and record data in time during experiments and discussions;(2)Actively mobilize students’ initiative,and researchers create a controversial point "shape of the earth" in the process of exploring the cognition of the shape of the earth,thereby arousing students’ enthusiasm for debate;(3)In the process of teaching the history of science,more attention should be paid to students’ performance,understanding students’ learning of the history of science,and providing suggestions for teaching. |
