The phenomenon of "little,slow,poor andwasting" in classical Chinese teaching reform in Senior High has obsessed us for a long time and the classical Chinese teaching is confronted with endless embarassment. Classical Chinese is given a cold shoulder for long. Realisrically it is the difference between classical Chinese and Modern Chinese. The opinion that classical Chinese is of no use still exists in some people's mind. Then where could classical Chinese go? This paper tries to analyze the strategy and method of strength classical Chinese teaching Senior High. With this object, this paper, combining with the educating and teaching practice,explains in two aspects on the basis of resurveying the history and actuality of classical Chinese teaching,under the instruct of Chinese Curricula Standard for Senior High. One is to put forword the opinion of usefulness classical Chinese teaching in Senior High,which is not only of factual meaning also applies the learning in the actual use,that is helping to promote the ability in modern Chinese writing. The other is to propose in term of teaching method improvement the opinion of the same importance of "writings"and "Chinese",that is to contact the classical directly and accumulate classical Chinese reading with historical vision view and to take the method of "reading aloud".We hope that as for the classical Chinese teaching in High School ,the teaching material with student-centered concept should be stressed, the teaching level of teachers in the continuing education should be improved , and the new curricula standard spirit should be embodied in the examination at all levels like College Intrance Examination.Thus to strengthen the classical teaching in Senior High is in the process.
