Scientific inquiry is a breakthrough for the new physics acrriculum reform, while the questioning ability is one of the key factors of scientific inquiry. In the traditional physics teaching, how to cultivate students' questioning ability is neglected. Faced with the phenomenon that the students in our country have a poor ability of questioning, according to the law of developing students' questioning ability, the author has studied that following strategies: stimulating students' motive of questioning; setting a good example of how to put forward a question; cultivating the thinking methods of questioning; designing a suitable questioning situation in combination with the material of the textbook; changing teaching patterns. The author tries to exploit a good way to develop students' questioning ability and had achieved some positive results.Under the current condition, the following results have been achieved:First, on the whole, he strategies mentioned above improve students' questioning ability effectively .Secondly, based on students' different abilities of mathematics and physics, the study has produced different results as follow: To students with a average foundation of mathematics and physics, especially notable results can be achieved ,to those with a good foundation ,notable results can be yielded, and to those with a poor foundation nearly notable results can also be gained.
