The scholarship of teaching is the systemic and special acquirement and knowledge on teaching ,which means the knowledge, capability and quality that faculty present in the teaching practice . Up to now, the university and faculty ignore teaching. Researching on the scholarship of teaching of faculty can be helpful to change the fact that the college students don't satisfied with the teaching and quality of teaching is not good. The research is of great significance. The research can promote the university and faculty to attach importance to teaching and the scholarship of teaching, encourage the faculty to devote to teaching and study the teaching, impel teachers to develop the scholarship of teaching, and make the teaching effective. The faculty teaching is a kind of scholarly work, which can be proved not only by the theories that are put forward by scholars home and abroad, but also can be determined by the characteristics of university teaching. The scholarship of teaching contains three element: knowledge, capability and quality. It includes: good Marxist academic culture, stable basic knowledge, profound professional knowledge, wide education and pedagogies knowledge, encyclopedical knowledge of relevant subjects; acute ability of observing the students, the ability of adjusting teaching measures to different students, the ability of analyzing the teaching material completely, the ability of understanding the curriculum thoroughly, the ability of instructing perfectly, the ability of researching the teaching profoundly ,the ability of carry through scientific research creatively, the ability of organizing the teaching orderly ; good psychological quality, noble spirit , great professional ethics. The faculty with the scholarship of teaching has vivid characteristics. Teaching behavior and teaching achievement are the two embodiments of the characteristics. Teaching behavior includes: possessing the question consciousness, presenting wisdom in teaching, processing the effective communication. Teaching achievement means bringing great impact. The faculty can become the teacher with scholarship of teaching through some effective strategies: advocating the scholarship of teaching, strengthening the consciousness of the scholarship of teaching; developing the teaching training so as to develop the scholarship of teaching in different phases; leaning teaching inorder to establish the stable foundation for the scholarship of teaching; reflecting teaching, developing the scholarship of teaching effectively; researching on teaching, developing the scholarship of teaching effectively scientifically.
