Moral Education Embedded In Teaching Activities By University Teachers

Moral education embedded in teaching activities is a basic rule of education, which is also a main area for moral education to university students. Investigating through both theoretical and practical aspects, this dissertation carries out a deep and roundly research on moral education embedded in teaching activities by university teachers. Six chapters are addressed in this dissertation.The first chapter investigates the theoretical basis of moral education embedded in teaching activities, aiming to present convincing theoretical supports. The second chapter reveals the up-to-date values and moral educational advantages of moral education embedded in teaching activities by university teachers, demonstrating direct and practical evidences and advantages of it. In the third chapter, the meaning and characteristics of moral education embedded in teaching activities by university teachers are clarified. It is argued that teaching and nurturing people are two indiscerptible aspects of an entire education process. Unique moral educational characteristics of university teachers' moral role, such as authoritative, high level, unnoticeable etc., are also addressed in this chapter. The fourth chapter presents the content, principles and requirements of moral education embedded in teaching by university teachers, which differentiate itself from professional moral educational job to university students. To further guide academic teachers' moral educational activities in practice, chapter five suggests some ways and methods of raising students' moral level through teaching. Finally, a good mechanism, aiming to guaranty academic teachers actively involved in moral education, is suggested in the last chapter.
