An advertisement goes well, " What would the world be like if the humankind had lost their association of ideas?" Nobody would like to answer this question genuinely. But we must think about it deeply that "What would the culture be like if the humankind had lost television?" As we know Chinese education means cultural education in some sense. The elementary principle of culture study tells us that humankind create culture, but once it has been created, it will affect or even change humankind in return. Present youngsters are undoubtedly an generation growing up with the rapid development of the television cause in China. It is unimaginable that we could ignore the great change of the social cultural environment and the educational objects in our Chinese education. On the basis of it, beginning with the middle school students TV cultural environment investigation and different attitudes of teachers and students towards it, this paper analyzes the TV cultural effect of middle school students. Then the thesis discusses the TV culture and concludes the characteristics of the TV media and TV culture in view of propagation study. TV creates a new way through which a human being can communicate with the outer world. It develops a new lingual flat through the style of audiovisual language; TV culture has a high degree of integration, compatibility, real-time, popularity, and has great effect of social education and guidance, based on which this paper points out the inevitability of the acceptance of the TV culture by the middle school students. After having enclosed the necessity of directly facing the TV culture in both demonstration and theory, the thesis emphasizes the three missions of Chinese education: (1)directly facing TV technology, including audiovisual teaching material compilation and introducing new media for Chinese education; (2)directly facing TV art, including appreciation of classic movie and TV works and extension of the new space of Chinese taste; (3)directly facing TV propagation, including media education and exploration of new fields of Chinese education. It is considered to be an effective tactic for directly facing TV culture and also being responsible for the future development of Chinese education.
