In order to improve the level of moral education effectively, it is far-reaching importance to deepening of the present reform in the instructive method. On this foundation, the paper adheres to taking dialectical materialism as the guidance; On the basis of the outcome of the research in the modern education, in especial the instructive optimization theory. According to making full use of the integral function of the instructive method system, the paper inquires comprehensively how to achieve optimization in the theories and practices.At first the paper have discussed and interpreted the concept of the instructive method, Its connotation, development, structures, kinds and signification; The traditional and modern instructive method are two things which are different from each other in character, but which are inherently related. Therefore it' s helpful for us to find the reform and developing trend of the instructive method. Through current status and reflection on the main problems existing, the author not only analyses that the path to innovation, but also in details indicates both the standards of optimization choice and the request of application.
