To meet with the need of the reform and development of elementary education and of the qualification of future teachers, this paper, beginning with target and content of the subject of methodology of Chinese teaching in primary school, with reform of classroom teaching as breakthrough and reform of teaching approaches as starting point, is to make the structure of classroom teaching and teaching approaches various, to have a better joint between the course and its teaching approaches, and to improve will-be teachers' teaching techniques, such as, self-teaching and teaching--practicing method, teaching cases analyzing method, simulated-situation training method and the exploring method.After many years teaching practice and the comparison of experiments tests, this teaching reform project has proved to be effective in arousing students' learning interests, improving their achievements. Of the course, cultivating their originalities, giving strong push to their qualities of all kinds; meanwhile, it betters the mutual relations and the combination of the students' classroom learning and out-of-class practice.The course and teaching reform being complicated and systematic. to make sure the reform will be further carried out, it needs everlasting efforts six main problems are put forward to be further studied. They are respectively as follows:A)how to enforce whatever concerning full-time teachers, B)how to link up the education al courses, C)how to reform evaluating methods, D)how to reform the curriculum , E)how to establish good contact between in class and after class activities, F)how to keep a good contact between school and out of school activities.
