Three Medicinal Herbs Of Pedicularis' Antioxidation And The Effect On Mice Physical Performance

In the paper, three medicinal herbs of Pedicularis I.inn TaiBai- ginsen (P. decora Franch ) and it' s same genus medicinal plants--P. davidii Franch and P. artselaeri Maxim were studied on theirmorphotaxonomic character .apply, effective constiuent and prospect in d rugs. We measured the content of one iridoid glycosides compound梐ucub in, compared the effect of protect liver , antioxidation and antisenial among three herbs,and studied the enhancement effect of the different processing TaiBai-ginsen extract to swimming exhausted-restored mice physical performance.TaiBai-ginsen is P. decora Franch' s root, which belong to Scrophularicoae' s Pedicularis linn. It is a special medicinal plant in China. It is perennial herb, It' s strong root turn to black when dry . It occurred in province of shaanxi etc. It grows both in the south and morth slopes of Qinlin mountin. P. davidii Franch and P. artselaeri Maxim are Scrophulariceae' s Pediuclaris Linn too, usualy used as major rariety of TaiBai-Ginsen.Tradition Chinese medicine classical books recorded many kinds of herbs belong to Pedicularis Linn. TaiBai-ginsen has pharmaceutical effect on curing weakness , healthy of spleen and stomach, depletion in infection, enriching kidneys and so forth. It' s characteristic const ituent iridoid glycosides has the effect on protection liver, diuresis , discharge, And promotion immunization, phenylpropenoid glycosides has significant effect of antioxdition, antiradical, resistance cancer and the repairment of DNA bases etc. P. davidii Franch and P. artselaeri Maxirnhad no report. The results of experiments show:I.We find three herbs MeoH extract have their maxium peak and value at 204nm when ultravioletray scan in the wave range of 190nm to 400nm. The order of all contents is P. davidii Franch, P. artseleari maxim, P. decora Franch.2. The pharmacology experiments show BuTH extracted and water extractedinof three herbs have evident effect on liver injury and oxidation which coused by alloxan , furthermore the BeTH-extract-part' s is better than the water extract-part' s. The results also indicate that P. davidii French and P. artseleari Maxim have the stronger effect than TaiBai-ginsen . So we think the two herbs can be used as the substitution of TaiBai-ginson.3. The different processing TaiBai-ginsen extract can enhanced obvionsly swimming exhausted - restored mice physical performance, inhibit the injury of free radical which origtnate from acute exercise, economize anti-oxidation enzyme.Our study provide some foundations on exploiting medicinal herbs resource and use of TaiBai-ginsen.
