A Research On The Effects Of University Multimedia Teaching

In recent years , with the rapid development of computer technology and communication technology,multimedia teaching becomes more and more popular in colleges and universities. Many teachers like Multimedia teaching very much because of their features of large information,new form,rich in content and energy-saving. But some teachers can't have a good command of the characteristics,skills,methods of multimedia teaching. There are some defects in schools' multimedia teaching facilities,hardware equipment and management .The advantages of multimedia teaching don't play out fully and effectively. Those have brought some impacts on the teaching quality and efficiency. So it's necessary for us to investigate and research the effect of multimedia teaching in colleges and universities.This paper mainly takes investigation and research method (depth interviews).What's more,it takes literature study a supplement. The researcher comprehensively carries out the paper from theoretical and practical aspects .In order to make the results of this study have much theoretical and practical significance.This paper is to investigate the multimedia teaching' content,features and advantages based on the theoretical analysis. The researcher takes Huazhong University of Science and Technology's undergraduate teaching as an example based on this background. This paper study several questions from the perspective of students: the advantages of multimedia teaching; the students' adaptation to multimedia teaching; the students' overall evaluation on teachers' multimedia teaching; the students' requirements and recommendations for teacher's multi-media teaching. At last,the researcher gives effective suggestions for every question step by step. We teachers can use the research result to improve teaching quality.There are three main conclusions in this paper: Multimedia teaching is conducive to the improvement of the teaching quality; the problems of multimedia teaching need to be addressed urgently; students' attitude to multimedia teaching is that: most student are satisfied with it. Then,this paper gives solutions from aspects of the teaching concepts,teaching media,teaching rhythm and the amount of information,teacher-student interaction,hardware devices and classroom environment,the production and operation of multimedia teaching courseware.
