Story is a literary style which children loved very much, it is also an indispensable and important component in children's lives. Story-composing plays an important role in promoting and upgrading the children's verbal expression, imagination, creativity and aesthetic awareness. Today, story-teaching activities have always been seen in kindergarten, which primarily focus on guiding and cultivating children's understanding and retelling of the story. But neglect of the ability-cultivating of children's story-composing. Therefore, this study explores the story-composing characteristics of children aged 4-6 and the cultivating ways and means, and provide the basis for the story-composing activities in kindergarten and improvement of children's creative expression.The study used qualitative and quantitative research methods of children's story-composing activities in A Kindergarten, P Area of Shanghai for about three years constitutive activities of tracking study. The study used test methods to explore story-composing characteristics of children aged 4-6. The research took thirty children in A Kindergarten which named group aged 4-5 as the study objects, and did pre-test and post-test(post-test was defined as the age group 5-6). The study preliminary summarized the general age characteristics of story-composing of children aged 4-6. Study found that age increased,4-6 year-old children's story-composing abilities increased.The study used interviews, questionnaires and observation to summarize the cultivating ways of children's story composing abilities, which focus on kindergarten and family. Specific cultivating methods are in the following areas:Talking about the kindergarten, the cultivating methods of children's story-composing abilities are:1, From the management point of view, establish the "story-composing features activities"; 2, From the part of environment, combine indoor with outdoor environment creation and provide abundant material foundation for children's story-composing; 3.Expert guidance to protect the constitutive research of children's story-composing scientific and directional: 4,Enhancing teachers'ability of story-composing and safeguard teaching ability effective. Among them, the improving methods of children's story-composing abilities about teachers are:(1) Enhance awareness of children's story-composing and infiltrate in the daily life; (2) Teacher's understanding of the story should be accurate and grasp the children's age characteristics; (3)Improve the quality of their language and norm children's language "input"; (4)Close contact with parents and unified children's education concept:(5)Use a variety of educational tools to enhance children's composing abilities.From the family, the kindergarten provided a platform foundation for family's cultivating of children's story-composing abilities. The kindergarten actively build exchange platform for family, and carry out many interactive story-composing activities between family and kindergarten. Parents'acquaintance of children's story-composing greatly increased, and the guidance of children's story-composing gradually mature, embodied in:1, Reading a lot with their children; 2, Broaden children's horizons; 3, Carry on parent-child story-composing activities.
