Activities Of Voluntary Teaching Within The Area Of Hongyao Towns

Finances and teachers are two kinds of key factors in developing minority education. At present, both the quantity and the quality of teachers in Chinese rural areas can not meet the need of rapid development of education, and there is still a long way to catch up with the urban areas. Since the founding of the PRC, the Chinese Communist Party took many special measures to support minority education in western regions. In the early 1980s, in order to promote balanced educational development between countryside and city, teaching support from cities gradually became a form to improve the level of rural education in some places, which was further strengthened in recent years. But as a kind of important measure to train teaching staff, town-to-village teaching assistance within an administrated town was unusual. Taking Sishui town,Longsheng county for an example, aiming the purpose at developing balanced education and constructing socialism new countryside, combining the methods of literature study and fieldwork together, this paper is to discuss the change of activities of voluntary teaching within the Hongyao town, analyze the relationship between volunteer teachers'behaviour and balanced development of Hongyao education. The article is also to discuss volunteer teachers'status and functions during the course of Hongyao educational development and harmonious society construction. Based on the problems occurred in activities of voluntary teaching, the paper puts forward several practical and feasible suggestions. Meanwhile, the author hopes that, through investigation and essay writing, the paper may make more people acquaint with Hongyao and pay more attention to their economic-social development.
