The study investigated the characteristics of floating children's loneliness and explored the relationship between loneliness and family factors.Total 1171 children in junior school,including floating children and urban children and rural children,,were assessed by using questionnaires (FEV-CV,etc).The results showed that:1 Floating children had significant higher score than urban children,but had little difference from rural children on the dimensions of total loneliness, appraisal of their current peer relation and perceptions of the degree to which important relationship needs are not being meet.2 On the dimension of feeling of loneliness,gender and group interaction is significant.Compared with urban and rural children,mid-term ones were inclined to perform worse.There aren't significant differences between the short-term and long-term ones.3 The short-term floating children have the lowest score on the dimensions of family life index,cohesion,intellectual-cultural orientation and moral-religious emphasis.4 The physical environment and The non-physical environment are related to children's loneliness.5 The differences of total loneliness among the three groups were caused by the physical environment and The non-physical environment.6 The influence on the children's loneliness which caused by the family environment is different among the floating,urban and rural children.
