Autonomy(Independence)is one of the important research subjects of psychology. Autonomy is the desire and ability to achieve their reasonable goal by depending on one's own strengths, which consists of three dimensions: self-reliance, self-control and self-assertion. In recent years, scholars at home and abroad who largely study autonomy have found that various factors affect the development of autonomy. So far as the current study is concerned, there is no correlative study between parents'educating self-efficacy and children's autonomy. Therefore, this study will explore the relationship between maternal educating self-efficacy and 4-year-old children's autonomy.In the research, questionnaire is used in measuring maternal educating self-efficacy, experiment is used in measuring the level of children's autonomy. 3 to 5-year-old children'mothers who are twice taken at random from Dalian are 540 and 410 respectively. The collectably valid questionnaires are 432 and 320 respectively, which are used in revising educating self-efficacy questionnaire. And 34 four-year-old children who are engaged in the experiment of autonomy. And please mothers of participants of the experiment are requested to fill out the revised educating self-efficacy questionnaires. Finally, the relationship between maternal educating self-efficacy and children's autonomy will be treated with correlative and regressive analysis.The results of this study show that:1. Revised educating self-efficacy questionnaire has good reliability and validity, which can serve as a tool to measure maternal educating self-efficacy.2. Maternal educating self-efficacy with the development of children's autonomy exist significant positive correlation. Mother with high educating self-efficacy while her children's autonomy develop good; mother with low educating self-efficacy while her children's autonomy develop bad.3. Maternal education capacity efficiency is significantly positively related to the total score of autonomy and self-reliance. Mother with high education capacity efficiency while her children's autonomy develop good; mother with low education capacity efficiency while her children's autonomy develop bad; and is significantly positively related to children's self -reliance. 4. Maternal emotional training effectiveness is significantly positively related to the total score of autonomy. Mother with high emotional training effectiveness while her children's autonomy develop good; mother with low emotional training effectiveness while her children's autonomy develop bad.5. Maternal social support efficiency is significantly positively related to the total score of autonomy and self- control. Mother with high social support efficiency while her children's autonomy develop good; mother with low social support efficiency while her children's autonomy develop bad. and is significantly positively related to children's self - control.6. Mother's education capacity efficiency and emotional training effectiveness in different degree exist significant differences.7. Mother's education capacity efficiency in different professional performance has different levels.
