An Observational Study On Maternal Sensitivity Of Urban And Rural Children

Maternal sensitivity is a kind of nurturing ability shown in the interaction between mother and child.The mother's sensitivity to the physical and mental basic needs of children is the key variable of her parenting style,and it is the basis for the healthy development of family education function,and it is also the key link for children to form secure attachment,which is beneficial to the physical and mental health development of children.Due to the restriction of the dual structure of urban and rural areas in China,the differences between urban and rural education are increasingly obvious.Family is the key field that influences the growth of children.It is of great importance to pay attention to the differences in family background during the growth and development of children,especially the differences in mothering which are closely related to the development of children.This study focuses on the maternal sensitivity of urban and rural children,so as to provide theoretical reference for improving the maternal rearing mode and providing reference for better carrying out targeted poverty alleviation in education.Based on the above research objectives,the study observed 100 urban and rural pairs of infant-mother group.The video videos of the observed subjects were encoded with the Maternal Behaviour Q-sort(MBQS-72)created by Pederson et al.,and the family capital of the observed subjects was collected with the self-compiled questionnaire Children's Family Basic Information Survey.Based on attachment theory,this paper explores the maternal sensitivity of children in different urban and rural areas.Through the Q classification to explore the mother sensitivity behavior,analysis of different areas of urban and rural mother sensitivity behavior characteristics;Through independent-sample t test,one-way ANOVA,non-parametric test and regression analysis,the relationship between maternal sensitivity level and difference in urban and rural areas,family capital and maternal parenting sensitivity was explored.The research results show that:1.There are differences between urban and rural children's mother-sensitive behaviors.The study finally established three types of urban children's mother-sensitive behaviors and two types of rural children's mother-sensitive behaviors.Mother sensitive behaviors of urban children: supportive attention,high expression;positive attention,low empathy;negative neglect,low strategy;Mother sensitive behavior of rural children: active,high control;passive neglect,high ego.2.There are significant differences between urban and rural children in maternal sensitivity,and the maternal sensitivity of urban children is significantly higher than that of rural children.3.There was a significant positive correlation between family capital and maternal sensitivity,and family cultural capital and family social capital significantly predicted maternal sensitivity.The research suggests that the enhancement of maternal sensitivity is the key to scientific parenting and the basis of parent-child interaction.Based on the above results,the study proposed two public service recommendations and four maternal parenting recommendations.In order to help mothers improve sensitivity,optimize the quality of family education,help children healthy development;At the same time,to narrow the gap between urban and rural areas,to avoid intergenerational transmission of poverty to provide new thinking.
