Health is one of the contemporary common interests in the modern society. With the improvement of people's living standards,people start to pay more attention to their own physical health gradually,with the basis that their needs of basic existence needs like the clothing,food,shelter, etc,have already been met.People no longer make their own health only dependent on the medical care and medicine;instead,more and more people begin to take part in body-building and health care activities forwardly. The traditional Daoyin medical gymnastics is the fine heritage of the Chinese traditional ways to preserve people's health,which is also a fitness regimen that can prevent and cure diseases.Health Qigong is the perfect combination of the modern rhythmic music and the traditional Daoyin medical gymnastics.It meets modern people's needs for the fitness and health.The Health Qigong Management Center of the State Physical Culture and Sports General Administration organizes the compiling of new theory of the Health Qigong medical gymnastics,based on current four sets of Qigong.The New Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong is a new set of theory,based on the material from the Mawangdui Daoyin Map, with the combination of the characteristics of the Health Qigong.The 12 movements of the full set of this theory are corresponding to the 12 Confucian Scriptures.Through the experimental research on the body shape,physical function and physical indicators of 50 middle and old aged women who practise the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong in the streets of Yanji,Yangpu District,Shanghai,with the combination of the results of the experiment and the feelings of the subjects,this article studies the effect of Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong on the middle and old aged women's constitution,which paves way for further promotion of this theory.The results of this study show:1.After 3 months of fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,no significant difference (P>0.05)is shown in the body shape index of the subjects,according to the comparison of the body mass index and the control group in the body shape index.After 6 months of fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,there is significant difference (P<0.05)in terms of the body mass index:body fat rate (P<0.01),compared with that before the experiment;and body mass index,body fat ratio and body mass index have a very significant difference (P<0.01),compared with that of 3 months.Comparison of the average shows:after 6 months of practice,the weight,body fat ratio and body mass index and other indicators of the subjects have a trend of "up and down".2.After 3 months of fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,diastolic pressure,resting heart rate and Blanche cardiac function index of the subjects have no significant difference (P>0.05) except the systolic pressure's obvious difference(P<0.01),compared with the control group;there is no significant improvement in terms of the indicators of physical function (P>0.05),compared with that before the experiment;the systolic pressure,resting heart rate and Blanche cardiac function index of the subjects has very significant difference(P<0.01)after 6 months'fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong, compared with that before the experiment.That is true of the comparison with that of 3 moths'experiment.3.After 3 months of fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,the hand edge,eyes closed standing on one leg and foot reaction time,and other indicators of the subjects has no significant difference (P>0.05),compared with the control group,while the Sit and Reach indicators have significant differences(P<0.05);the right hand grip, turn a blind eye to stand on one leg and foot reaction time have a significant difference(P<0.05),and the Sit and Reach has a significant difference (P<0.01),compared with that before the experiment.After 6 months of fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,foot reaction time,and Sit and Reach indicators of the subjects show a very significant difference P(<0.01),compared with that before the test.The foot reaction time has a significant difference (P<0.05),and Sit and Reach has a very significant difference (P<0.01),by the comparison of the status of the subjects after 6 months of training and that after three months.4.From the subjects'feelings of practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,we can see that their mind was relaxed. There is a marked improvement in mood.At the same time,the individual's immune capacity can be enhanced;even their adaptability has also been significant improved.Conclusion:1.The Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong is a Health exercise which assembles the breathing exercises,physical exercise and notion exercise and is suitable for middle and old aged women in terms of their physical characteristics and sports load.2.It is not obvious different about the Constitution indicates of the Middle and Old Aged Women's after 3 months fitness practice of Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong,which cannot be a good reflection of fitness effects.This indicates that the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong is Health way which builds body internally and externally. It needs practice over the long term in order to make essence,energy,and spirit integrated,so as to achieve the goal of enhancing the capability of keeping physical fitness,and preventing of senile disease.3.The 6 months fitness practice of the Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong has obvious effect on the middle and old aged women's body shape,physical function and physical fitness,etc.It has a special improvement in the degree of obesity,cardiovascular system,ability of balance,agility,and flexibility,quality,etc.4.The Mawangdui Daoyinshu of Health Qigong can effectively improve Meridian Circulation of the elderly,so that the state of mind and ability to adapt to the environment can be overall improved.
