The Localizing Researches On The System Of Press Spokesmen In Chinese Government

Since the first time when Qian Qichen faced the press as a press spokesman in 1982, the System of Press Spokesmen in Chinese Government has existed for 25 years, which has very active functions in the aspects of communicating with the press and the public, enhancing the publication of government's information, encouraging the public comments and monitoring, and winning trust from the public for the government. Although the System of Press Spokesmen has made some achievement in our country, it still has many unsatisfactory points which require constant development and perfection.The Localizing Researches on the System of Press Spokesmen in Chinese Government was based on the need for the development of this system. This research has the meaning of enhancing the practice of this system. This research aims at promoting the construction of the spokesman system which has the traditional cultural essence in China, and the modern concepts of the advanced system which has been localized. Based on the researches already done by many other researchers, this paper combines theories and methods in related subjects like journalism, communication, public relations and culture science. Through the exploring and researches in this paper, it is hoped that some references and experiences could be taken to help the construction and development of the localizing of the System of Press Spokesmen.This paper is composed of six chapters.The first chapter introduces the reason why this topic was chosen and the significance of the research. It also explains the present situation of this research and the aim, content and methodology used in the paper.Chapter two defines the related concepts and theories like the press spokesman, the system of the press spokesman, the localization of the system. This chapter is the pre-condition of the research. Only when the subject of the research is clearly defined can we start effective research.The third chapter generally introduces the historical background of the system of the press spokesmen. The history and the realistic reasonableness of the founding of this system in China are also stated.Chapter four analyzes the necessaries and possibility of the localization of the system of the press spokesmen system in China from two aspects, namely theory and practice. In this way, the author tries to explore a more effective theoretical and practical basis to construct the press spokesmen system in China.The fifth chapter addresses the realm of the construction of the localization of the system of the press spokesmen and puts forwards the principles which the press spokesmen in a government should observe.The last chapter discusses the ways for localizing the system of the press spokesmen, and explores the methods for the localization of the system of the press spokesmen from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture.
