| In the course of adjustment of the world economic structure, industrial structure optimization is a magic weapon of success in international economic competition. So, many countries transform their attentions from optimizing industrial structure to promoting total value. In view of quickening economy development of our country and joining international competition, optimizing industrial structure should be the emphasis of our economy.Our industrial structure has been improved obviously since the reform and open, but it still has many problems and it is away from optimization. Utilizing FDI rationally is beneficial to optimize our industrial structure. The article construct the theory basis of utilizing FDI to optimize our industrial structure, that is, Five Gap theory on the basis of commenting on relative FDI theories. The theory's idea is that utilizing FDI can remedy our industrial structure gap and improve the continuous optimization of our industrial structure. Moreover, the article analyzes the irrational reasons of industrial structure of FDI in the connection of its characters and effects and proposes the suggestions to optimize our industrial structure.
