This paper probes into how human resource department in Guangdong Telecommunication Corporation should combine and integrate the staff training management, while Guangdong Telecom is readjusting its strategy focus after experiencing such overwhelming changes in its outer environment. The thesis consists of two parts: case and case analysis. In the first part, the paper deals with the organizationinfrastructure, business development, employee background, and the strategy that the corporation has to adjust under the pressure of intense competition. Moreover, the thesis also describes in details the current situation of employee training. In the second part, the author points out that the company could hardly achieve its new strategy targets unless the staff training system is being further enhanced. Meanwhile, the author analyzed the current situation of staff training in Guangdong Telecom and the distance to its ideal goal. Then the author defines the development trend of training system and analyzes the training demand at three levels: organization, task and staff. In the last part, the author provides proposals on how to advance the corporation' s training system including the re-engineering of training course system, operating and evaluation system.
