To train military personnel with the regular higher education, not only is the currently common pace of the world’s military powers for their adjusting to the new revolution in military affairs, focusing on getting the victory in modern information war, constructing a high-quality common army, but also is an important strategies for China to accelerate the modernization of the national defense and the armed forces. In the past15years, the training for the Reserve Officers of Chinese Army has a great change.A rapid development and achievement of the quantity and the quality has come into reality. In this process, in addition to some encouraging results and the affirmation from people’s applause,some complaints from the military commanding authority, grass-roots units, universities, civil society and other parties has been come up with to the training model and the quality of the training for the reserve officers. It is an important issue and urgent task to solve some problems of the training model of the reserve officers, such as the training objectives is not clear, the synergies of the military and the public isn’t smooth enough, scientific training program is still short of, the guarantee system is not perfect and some other outstanding problems.This article sorts the history and some current situation of the training model for the reserve officers. It is combined with the investigations of the surveys of the in-school and graduated reserve officers, as well as learning from the U.S practice training for the reserve officer. With the problems about the training model for reserve officers were analyzed, the article uses the SWOT analysis to explore some strategic thinking in training reserve officers and use the process reengineering theory to investigate the innovation in training the reserve officers. Besides the article puts forward some solutions to optimize the training mode and to solve some the problems mentioned above, as well as optimizes the institutional system, the environment for the growth and strengthen the feedback of some follow-up investigation.
